VCA Animal Specialty Group, located in beautiful San Diego, is seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our team of emergency & specialty technicians. Our state-of-the-art hospital offers the best critical care support equipment as well as diagnostic & imaging equipment to provide exceptional veterinary care! Location: 5610 Kearny Mesa Rd B, San Diego, CA 92111 Salary: $20 - $24.50 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include: Maintaining medical records Filling prescriptions Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets Client communication & discharging patients Triage emergency patients & provide treatment plans Assist with treatments & out patient procedures Participate in CPR & life saving procedures Venipuncture & IV Catheter placement At VCA, your passion for medicine and compassion for pets and people is matched with a commitment to your professional growth.
