Veterinary Neurology and Imaging of the Chesapeake is seeking full-time Technician Assistants for our fast-paced specialty practice located within the Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center (CVRC) in Hunt Valley, Maryland. MAJOR DUTIES ICU: Care of hospitalized patients including cage cleaning, walking, feeding, observation of patients. Surgery: Help clean, set up and break down the operating room. Surgery instruments clean, sterilize, organize and wrap instruments Patients: Ability to restrain for procedures performed by technicians or doctors, knowledge of neuro conditions treated, administration of oral medications, assessment of change in animal status Public Relations: Professional, cheerful and helpful attitude when interacting with pet owners and team members. Laboratory: Performance of laboratory tests, CSF preparation, completion of forms for labs sent out. Assisting: Animal restraint, prescription filling and computer transaction entry. Appointments: Running appointments with our Vet Neurologist. We are looking for a team player interested in the world of Neurology. This position has the potential to grow into a technician position in the future. Hours are Monday - Friday, rotating weekends and holidays. This role would support our advanced diagnostic imaging service (MRI and CT), hyperbaric oxygen chamber, as well as our surgical caseload for three full-time neurologists. Responsibilities
