We are a mentoring team of DVMs and RVT's who encourage everyone to step outside of their comfort zone and learn new skills. We are a fast paced environment dealing with emergencies in small animals. Our team is supportive, easy going and enjoys light hearted times during the stressful ones. Our ideal team member would be eager to learn, enjoy a fast pace of work while being able to multi-task and be superior in client communication skills. We are open overnight Mondays through Wednesdays and 24 hours starting Thursday evenings to Monday mornings and all holidays to serve the needs of the community. About the Role Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure. Veterinary Assistant's with 5 years of experience are preferred. Responsibilities
