Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Genuine love for animals and a strong interest in veterinary care
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to handle pets with patience and empathy
  • Familiarity with veterinary terms and basic procedures is a plus
  • Prior experience in animal handling and care is preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
  • Flexible availability, including the potential to work weekends, is an asset
  • Completion of a Veterinary Assistant or Animal Care Attendant program, along with at least one year of experience in a veterinary setting, is ideal—however, we are open to training the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to pets
  • Comfort and safely restrain animals during examinations and procedures
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms for appointments and surgeries
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for clients and their pets
  • Communicate with pet owners, schedule appointments, and update medical records
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and ensure their well-being
  • Assist in preparing vaccines and dispensing medications
  • Most importantly, bring enthusiasm, positivity, and a genuine love for animals to everything you do!
