VCA Monte Vista Animal Hospital is seeking a Relief Veterinary Assistant to support our team! Compensation: $ 23 - $ 32 / hr DOE Schedule: Days as needed Summary: Our Veterinary Assistants support our veterinarians and technicians in all aspects of animal care by restraining our patients during physical exams, treatments, and procedures. They are an advocate for our patients to ensure they receive the proper care in a safe and comfortable manner. We want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to: Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations Keep accurate records and logs Sterilize equipment Observing patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staff Plus so much more!
