We are looking for a new head receptionist to lead our experienced, friendly and supportive team. As a proudly independent practice with a history going back over 90 years we focus on building long term relationships through excellent customer care and service. The role will require a proactive and enthusiastic individual who can lead by example. You will primarily be leading the team in a client facing environment in addition to some managerial tasks and support behind the scenes. We have a very pleasant and long established client base that are a pleasure to work with.
Providing an excellent service to clients both face to face and by telephone from booking appointments and taking repeat medication requests to providing support and empathy at difficult times.
Day to day oversight of the diary to ensure smooth running of the practice from routine appointments to emergency visits.
Preparing medication and parasiticide requests from both veterinary consults and owner requests.
Stock control, end of day banking, completing price updates and ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner.
Managing the reception rota and cover for holidays and sick leave.
Overseeing and supporting the reception team to ensure all tasks are completed in appropriate timescales.
Taking part in our social media presence, practice displays and charity fundraising.
Liaising with other team leaders and management to facilitate clear communication and teambuilding throughout the practice.
Experience of working within the veterinary sector as an existing receptionist or head receptionist.
Proficient in the use of standard computer and practice management software.
Excellent communication skills.
Having a proactive approach to new challenges.
Being a natural leader who enjoys helping others.
A high level of compassion and empathy for fellow workers, clients and of course our patients.

Pay: £29,000.00-£32,036.68 per year
