VETERINARY NURSE – FULL TIME (PERMANENT)

Melba Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our small,
dedicated team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a busy boutique practice where high
standards of patient care, teamwork, and professionalism are essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Permanent full-time position (38 hrs per week, occasional weekends).
• Salary range: $76,000 – $78,000 per annum plus superannuation.
• Role requires demonstrated ability to independently perform advanced nursing tasks
  in both general practice and emergency situations.
• Position is ongoing and located in Canberra, ACT.

KEY DUTIES

• Monitoring anaesthesia and providing advanced surgical support.
• Triaging emergency cases and delivering critical care.
• Assisting with diagnostic imaging (radiography, ultrasonography).
• Administering medications and treatments under veterinary direction.
• Dentistry, including performing dental scale and polish procedures, and performing
  dental consultations to clients.
• Preparing laboratory samples and interpreting in-house results.
• Supervising junior nurses and placement students.
• Handling client communications with a high level of professionalism.
