At Mt. Olive Veterinary Hospital, our veterinarians are passionate about providing exceptional care and service to the families and pets in our community. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join our team and help us continue that mission. As the Practice Manager, you will serve as the financial and operational leader of the hospital. Working closely with hospital leadership and Community Veterinary Partners (CVP), you’ll ensure efficient daily operations, strong financial performance, and a positive, collaborative team culture. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines business acumen, team development, and client service excellence. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES HUMAN RESOURCES * Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management * Conduct performance evaluations and support department leads in staff development * Maintain compliance with OSHA, safety, and workers’ compensation requirements * Implement and update Employee Safety and Disaster Plans * Communicate hospital updates, policy changes, and client feedback to the team * Address and document personnel concerns and performance counseling OPERATIONS * Partner with CVP and hospital leadership to ensure smooth daily operations * Respond promptly and professionally to client concerns, collaborating with the Lead Veterinarian and Regional Team as needed * Support hospital marketing initiatives in partnership with CVP and the Lead Veterinarian * Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed * Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (licensing, permits, radiation, etc.) * Oversee inventory control and ordering within budget parameters * Manage hospital communications, patient reminder systems, and practice management software * Lead or participate in staff and leadership meetings MARKETING & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT * Manage client communications and social media presence * Build and maintain community partnerships and referral relationships * Represent the hospital at local events to enhance visibility and client growth FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT * Participate in budgeting, P&L reviews, and financial performance monitoring * Partner with the Regional Team to manage expenses and identify opportunities for growth * Process payroll and oversee banking, deposits, and vendor payments * Prepare regular business reports and ensure accuracy in financial records ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years of experience in veterinary management or other related role * Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills * Demonstrated ability to build a positive team culture and deliver excellent client service * Financial management experience, including budgeting and reporting * Proficiency in veterinary practice management software (preferred but not required) * CVPM certification (preferred but not required) ---------------------------------------- WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH US * Collaborative, compassionate team environment * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits * Opportunities for professional development and career growth * A supportive culture focused on quality care and client relationships Join a team that’s dedicated to making a difference in the lives of pets, their families, and each other.
