Responsibilities
  • Caring for our patients; feeding, walking and offering a gentle voice of assurance.
  • Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary and comfortable.
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine aptitude for putting pets and their owners at ease and creating a welcoming environment.
  • Scheduling appointments.
  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments.
  • Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages.
  • Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • Animal Restraint.
  • General housekeeping duties; pet holding, lobby and treatment areas.
  • Willingness to learn more regarding pet nutrition, veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.
  • Take initiative and work independently.
  • VA Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate is an asset
