We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic. Your responsibilities will include managing appointments, handling inquiries, and assisting with administrative tasks, all while fostering a welcoming environment for our clients and their pets.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Laboratory experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist in various tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent care for pets.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management is essential.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed to support clinic operations, with primary hours 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday.

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently, managing the clinic’s calendar effectively.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage billing processes with attention to detail.
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians as needed during examinations or procedures.
  • Handle laboratory samples and assist with basic laboratory tasks when required.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and inviting for clients and their pets.
  • Provide information on pet health care products and services offered at the clinic.
