POSITION OVERVIEW

The role of the Client Care Specialist (CCS) is to strengthen the client, animal, and veterinary bond through exceptional client service and education.

This is a full-time opportunity in a very important support role for the entire hospital. As a 24-hr facility, shifts will include daytime, evening and weekend rotations. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for and appreciated! Additional responsibilities and qualities required for this role are;

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
  • Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
  • Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
  • Admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing/billing; reviewing estimates, obtaining accurate pet owner information and processing payments
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas and common areas
  • Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, medical terminology, and updated office procedures
  • Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality or retail is an asset!

Compensation: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. The hourly rate range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
