OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage administrative tasks will contribute significantly to the overall experience of our clients and their animals.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a veterinary practice or laboratory setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building rapport with clients and their pets.
  • Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling, record keeping, and billing processes.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare and an understanding of basic veterinary terminology is advantageous.

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar for veterinarians.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update client information as necessary.
  • Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
  • Assist in managing inventory for veterinary supplies and medications.
  • Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization within the reception area.
