Description

All About Pets Animal Hospital is a single doctor small animal clinic located in the south end. We see only cats and dogs and offer wellness care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, radiology, nutritional therapy and lots of love for our patients. We are looking for a candidate to work full time as a receptionist and could have the opportunity to work as an assistant if interested.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 1 year experience working as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic and is passionate about helping animals and wants to make a positive impact on the lives on pets and their owners. Our ideal candidate for a veterinary receptionist is friendly, dependable, has a good base of knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, has experience with veterinary software, good organizational skills, good verbal and written communication skills and has the ability to handle stressful situations. Salary will be determined by experience.

The typical duties of the receptionist include but are not limited to:

  • Greet clients with a warm and welcoming tone
  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments
  • Answering clients questions about medications, preventative care, our policies and procedures
  • Client call backs
  • Check clients in and out using Pulse veterinary software
  • Assist in cleaning the hospital
  • Process payment transactions
  • Relay appropriate information to/from clients
  • Assisting the Doctor and staff as needed
  • Process end of day transactions
  • Handling email and text from clients
  • Maintaining proper notes in medical charts
