JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks that keep our veterinary practice running smoothly. This role requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.

  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
  • Process payments and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail.
  • Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, including sample collection and preparation.
  • Provide information to clients about preventative care, products, and services offered by the clinic.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming for clients and their pets.
