VETERINARY RECEPTION, CLIENT CARE SPECIALIST/TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT

Willowdale Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a Veterinary Receptionist who will also provide client care and technician assistant support for our team. This role is covering a maternity leave for 18 months (possibility for extension or other opportunities).
This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment  Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
  • Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients  Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments  Take initiative and work independently 
  • A Veterinary Assistant (VA) program certificate is an asset
  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception, pet holding areas, and common areas  Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • A love for all companion animals!!
