Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Practice – Herefordshire
A well-established, semi-rural small animal practice in Herefordshire is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with strong surgical skills to join its experienced and supportive team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering excellent clinical development opportunities in a collaborative and well-equipped environment.
About the Role:
This role offers a 40-hour working week with just 1 in 6 Saturdays, and no on-call or bank holiday commitments. The position provides a great work-life balance while allowing the successful candidate to focus on delivering outstanding care to clients and patients.
You will work alongside a large clinical team including several experienced vets, 9 nurses, and 8 reception/admin team members. There are also opportunities for occasional work at a nearby sister practice to enhance collaboration and exposure to a broader client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent clinical and surgical care to patients
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear updates and guidance
  • Prepare accurate, tailored treatment plans and cost estimates
  • Support the clinical team through mentoring and professional development
  • Participate in clinical handovers and patient transfers when required
  • Promote best practice across the clinical team and wider network
