ABOUT US

We are a well-established Small Animal Practice located in the picturesque town of Killarney, Co Kerry. Founded in 1983, we have a proud history of providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to the local community’s pets for nearly four decades. Our practice is equipped with modern facilities, including services for laparoscopic procedures, orthopaedic surgery, in-house x-ray and blood analyzers, and a dental machine, allowing us to offer a broad range of advanced treatments.
Our team is small and close-knit, comprising 1 veterinarian, 3 veterinary nurses, and a practice manager. We pride ourselves on fostering strong, long-term relationships with our clients and their pets within this close community.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for someone who enjoys the rhythm of a busy, community practice, values teamwork, and takes price in providing outstanding patient care. You’ll need to:

  • Be VCI registered and eligible to work in Ireland from September 2025
  • Be confident in all clinical aspects of first opinion practice - medically and surgically
  • Thrive in a team-orientated, communicate environment
  • Be passionate about patient care and professional development
  • Have natural leadership qualities
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Working pattern: Full-time, typically 4-5 days per week; part-time and flexible arrangement considered to accommodate other commitments
  • Weekend requirement: 2 Saturdays on, 2 Saturdays off
  • Out-of-hours/on-call: None – no Sunday or Bank Holiday working is required
  • Working hours: Earliest start at 8:30am, latest finish by 6:00pm
