JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary technician assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both pets and staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong desire to learn and grow within the veterinary field.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members and pet owners.
  • Ability to use different computer systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals and preparing necessary equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilizing instruments and cleaning examination rooms.
  • Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort during visits.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ health, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
  • Ability to sign patients in clinic, take weights and history, answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Assist in managing inventory of medical supplies and medications.
  • Help with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
