You will work as part of our team to deliver modern and top-of-class veterinary care to pets in the community. This includes everything from blood draws and restraint to monitoring anesthesia, prepping and assisting in surgery & dentistry, as well as client education. We are passionate about transparency and seek to find team members comfortable performing most diagnostics and treatments in the presence of owners. Additionally, you may have your own technician appointments where you will be solely in charge of performing specific procedures and communicating with pet owners. Benefits: No weekend hours Health/Dental/Vision insurance Wellness expense reimbursement 401(k) with employer match Paid time off Paid holidays Bereavement leave Pet bereavement leave Employee pet discount Uniform allowance Free on-site parking Staff shower Pay: $24-30/hr Requirements Primary Responsibilities include: Prepping, inducing, monitoring, and recovering patients under anesthesia Performing in-house laboratory testing and sample collection Assisting veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries Performing dental prophylaxis, including dental radiographs Performing digital radiographs Conducting technician appointments independently Discussing estimates and payment options with owners when appropriate Discharging patients after surgical procedures and hospitalization Educating clients on different aspects of veterinary medicine, such as prevention and nutrition Triaging client concerns via phone and in person appropriately Maintaining cleanliness and organization in treatment, surgery, and exam areas Who we are looking for: Full-time employee Veterinary Technician Certification in Pennsylvania (CVT) preferred but not required Bilingual Spanish preferred Ideal applicants have prior experience as a veterinary technician and strong technical skills in anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry. The right candidate will bring leadership, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and empathy toward pet owners and their concerns. Responsibilities
As a veterinary technician, you will prep, induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia, assist veterinarians during exams and surgeries, and educate clients on veterinary medicine. You will also conduct technician appointments independently and maintain cleanliness in treatment areas.
