Overview: We are a privately owned non-corporate veterinary hospital located in Campbellford, 40 minutes from Cobourg, Peterborough and Belleville on the Trent River. We are seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our friendly team for a 13-month maternity leave coverage. We are a pet-centered clinic where the needs of our patients are the most important aspect of our work.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to advance their skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate may be eligible to convert to a permanent full-time employment role within our clinic at the conclusion of the contract, contingent on strong performance and business need.
We also have a focus on pain management and rehabilitation, with our DVM certified in rehabilitation, acupuncture and a pain practitioner.

REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals.
• Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting is an asset.
