JOB SUMMARY

We are a hybrid hospital that offers general practice, urgent care, and ER services. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. You will be responsible for assisting with examinations, performing laboratory tests, surgeries, and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess excellent technical skills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program is preferred.
  • Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a veterinary setting is a plus, particularly in laboratory procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and pet owners.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.

    Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Monitor animal health before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
  • Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments.
  • Provide compassionate care to animals in distress or pain.
