Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma/Degree in Applied Science, Veterinary Technology, Life Sciences, or equivalent OR
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of pipetting techniques, microscopy, and laboratory instrument operation.
  • Competence in data recording and result validation.
  • Proficient in verbal and written ENglish.
  • Computer literarcy, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Flexibility to commit 1 or 2 days per week minimum.
  • Able to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
  • Commitment to organisational values and timely communication.

Responsibilities
  • Assist is laboratory tasks across Haematology, Microbiology, Molecular, and Parasitelogy, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Handle biological samples while adhering to aseptic practices, PPE requirements, and biohazard waste disposal protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management.
  • Record results accurately using physical forms, Excel files, and Online Medical System.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and undergo relevant training to operate relevant instruments.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in test results to the Senior Vet Technician.
