QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a VFX Editor in episodic and feature pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of NukeStudio and/or Hiero, Adobe Premiere, Resolve.
  • Familiar with shot tracking systems, Excel and other productivity tools, Shotgrid is a big plus.
  • Comfortable with Windows and computers in general.
  • General technical savviness is a must.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under high pressure with short deadlines.

Responsibilities

ROLE:

As VFX Editor, you must have a strong knowledge of any given show’s VFX color pipeline and delivery templates. You will work with the Director of VFX Editorial on show setup and any high-level troubleshooting and technical developments. You will also have shows that you will be assigned to.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing plate pulls and organizing project elements per show/project specifications.
  • Along with Director of VFX Editorial responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting VFX color pipeline on a show-by-show basis.
  • Creating show specific deliverable templates based on client specifications.
  • Cutting and updating sequences and rendering deliverables.
  • Manage count sheets and maintain a production database of cut information.
  • Make sure correct editorial information, such as frame ranges, are passed onto the production team.
  • Quality control VFX versions before submitting for editorial review.
  • Troubleshooting any disparities while working independently.
  • Cutting reels as needed.
  • Assist other Producers and Supervisors with management of projects.
  • Securely handle data management for uploads and downloads of data/assets/deliveries.
  • Communicate with clients to assist in receipt of data.
