Position: VFX Producer

Location: Toronto, ON (Remote)

  • Pay Range: $116,400 – $166,400 CAD annually

POSITION SUMMARY:

The VFX Producer is the point of contact for clients and will work closely with PowerHouse VFX department heads to ensure that each project runs smoothly. The VFX Producer manages projects from the initial award and pre-production phase through VFX execution, conform, color, and delivery. The VFX Producer also focuses on building solid relationships by managing client expectations and meeting creative/technical standards.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES:

The VFX Producer manages multiples VFX projects simultaneously, produces projects within approved budget and deadline, and works closely with Directors, CG Supervisors, VFX Supervisors to accurately assess direction, budget, and scheduling. They are responsible for leading and motivating VFX teams through each stage of project, and maintaining constant contact with clients, while developing and maintaining client relationships. They are also responsible for the following:

  • Maintains production schedule, staffing needs, and resource allocation
  • Maintains communication with department heads, artists, management, and staff
  • Employs appropriate creative and technical judgment to resolve any project issues

The ideal candidate will have previous working VFX/Post-Production experience. They will have superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, proven planning and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and responsibilities to meet deadlines and stay within budget under minimal supervision.
