Job Description
As a Server in the Velvet Glove Restaurant, you will ensure all guests receive exceptional service by consistently offering professional, friendly, warm and engaging service.

What you will be doing:

  • Set up food & beverage service and clear tables in the VG Lounge.
  • Ensures all guests have a memorable experience in dining.
  • Have complete knowledge of the menu and beverage lists in the outlets and all other special promotions taking place in the hotel.
  • Knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.
  • To be able to answer any guest questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way.

Qualifications

  • “Smart Choices” responsible liquor service certification required.
  • Service oriented, team player, flexible in high paced environment and able to handle pressure with grace.
  • Excellent verbal & written English communication skills.
  • Must be able to complete all physical aspects of the job without restriction, i.e. Lift 25+ lbs at a time, stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Fluency in a second language an asset.
