Job Description Overview of the role The Vice President of Aquaculture will lead the development, performance, and expansion of Aboitiz Food Group - Gold Coin, Aquaculture Feed business across Southeast Asia and China. This leadership role oversees the full aquaculture value chain, from feed strategy and product innovation to commercial execution and market penetration, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth. The role requires a hands-on, business-driven leader who can balance strategic direction with deep operational and technical understanding of aquaculture feed, nutrition, and farming markets (shrimp, tilapia, pangasius, marine fish). As a key regional leader, the VP will work closely with Country Directors, functional heads, and technical experts to strengthen Aboitiz’s Aqua market position, build sustainable customer partnerships, and deliver innovative feed solutions to the aquaculture industry. Key responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Business Development Develop and execute business solution strategy in tailoring to each market needs and drive through the collaboration from the countries leaders, Aqua General Manager and Aqua sales lead in the market penetration and sales execution in delivering the aqua volume and net income. Conduct market intelligence analysis to identify industry trends, and customer segmentation needs to the competitive landscape and impart the knowledge to the countries’ aqua sales team. Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic alliances, and key stakeholders including and not limited to key accounts customers, suppliers, industry partners Establish a feedback loop across internal and external stakeholders in gathering insights on feed performance, allowing for continuous enhancement, innovation of feed formulation and nutritional enhancement for the aqua business. Ability to provide sales solutions, technical advisory, and training to customers through imparting knowledge of how feeds are manufactured, including the nutritional formulations, processing methods, and quality control measures. Co-design and lead sales and marketing campaigns, trade fairs with marketing, sales Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction Leadership and Management Lead the Aquaculture Feed Division with full P&L accountability, covering manufacturing, sales, and business performance. Oversee feed sales forecasts, performance analytics, and production planning across multiple markets. Coach, mentor, and develop regional teams to strengthen feed sales and technical competency. Ensure collaboration between sales, operations, and nutrition teams for effective execution of feed programs. Promote continuous improvement in feed quality, product performance, and customer satisfaction. Build a culture of innovation, agility, and collaboration across the Aqua feed business. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Fisheries Studies/Management or a related field PhD in Fisheries and Allied Aquaculture (Aquaculture Nutrition) is a strong advantage At least 8 years of sales leadership experience in the Aqua Feed business In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of various customer segments, feed production processes (including nutritional formulations, processing methods, quality control, and legal regulations) within the aquaculture industry Familiarity with suppliers of raw materials and ingredients for aquaculture feeds, including their sourcing practices, pricing, and quality standards Strong understanding of the aqua value chain from hatchery to processing Excellent business acumen, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to work in a matrix environment and garner support for strategy execution Innovative, with a focus on keeping customers at the forefront when delivering high-quality solutions Open to talents from across Southeast Asia (SEA) and China Why Join Us This is a rare opportunity to lead and build an Aquaculture Feed business from the ground up, with the backing of a major regional agribusiness group.
