Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President, Asset Management to oversee and optimize the performance of our residential rental portfolio. This full-time position, based at our Head Office in Pickering, will report directly to the CEO and play a key leadership role in maximizing asset value, operational excellence, and tenant satisfaction. Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance asset performance and long-term value
  • Lead all aspects of asset management
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Oversee third-party and in-house property management teams to ensure operational excellence
  • Implement leasing strategies and optimize tenant experience and retention
  • Assist with capital improvement projects, maintenance planning, and property standards
  • Conduct market analysis and identify acquisition/disposition opportunities
  • Have an understanding of compliance with all applicable housing/commercial regulations, building codes, and safety standards
  • Provide regular performance reporting to ownership and executive leadership
  • Foster strong relationships with internal departments, tenants, and external partners
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy and accountability, ensuring all actions align with company goals and values.

Scheduling

  • Full-time
  • Flex-Hours Monday to Friday

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in rental property or asset management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance or related field (MBA or industry designation an asset)
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Experience overseeing residential rental properties and working with property management systems
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s Residential Tenancies Act and related regulatory frameworks
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute operational plans and drive performance
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset and minimal need for supervision
