Job Title: VP of Marketing & Business Development
Compensation: $150,000-$200,000/year (depending on experience) + Bonus Plan

SUMMARY

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic VP of Marketing & Business Development to spearhead new business initiatives and lead marketing efforts. This role is pivotal in driving growth, attracting new clients, managing outbound communications, and strengthening the company’s market presence. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with a deep understanding of client needs, the ability to develop impactful business strategies, and a strong track record of executing successful acquisition and pursuit efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or related fields, with a strong background in agency environments.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving successful new business pursuits.
  • Expertise in crafting compelling business strategies and executing winning presentations.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, brand positioning, and demand generation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic and outbound new business acquisition efforts that result in revenue growth.
  • Oversee and manage the new business team, ensuring excellence in outbound communications, leveraging multiple channels and intent signals for highest impact.
  • Support larger company efforts and drive a continuous steam of qualified leads to the business
  • Determine key tool/technology needs that will drive greater efficiency and effectiveness of the team and implement tooling for the betterment of the department and business.
  • Identify key relationships and referral sources (analysts, partners, etc.) that will drive potential revenue for the business and create in-depth, trusting relationships to increase inbound/referral business streams.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that elevate brand awareness and drive demand for the agency’s services.
  • Develop key propositions and ownable “products” that will resonate with potential customers and create an onramp for longer-term relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Leverage key strategic activities like PR, events, etc. to drive greater awareness of the business.
  • Develop assets for use across the entire sales cycle to drive prospects through the funnel.
  • Manage the company’s external marketing presence, including website content, social media strategy, and outbound corporate marketing campaigns and encourage employee amplification to drive greater awareness.
  • Collaborate closely with business development and go-to-market teams to engage prospects and move them through the sales pipeline effectively.
  • Develop strategic thought leadership (articles, white papers, research studies, case studies, etc.) and distribution that position the company as an industry leader.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for business expansion.
