As we accelerate our expansion in the United States, our ambition is clear: to establish Blykalla as one of the leading SMR players in North America. To achieve this, we are seeking an entrepreneurial VP Commercial – US who is not only a strong dealmaker, but a true business creator; someone who has built commercial structures, market entry strategies, and long-term customer relationships in complex or nascent industries. This role goes well beyond managing a sales pipeline; it is about shaping how Blykalla commercializes nuclear energy in the US. This role will be employed by Blykalla US Inc. and represents a critical leadership position in our US expansion. About the Role As VP Commercial – US, your responsibilities will center on building and owning our US off-taker relationships, developing the US commercial project pipeline, and securing long-term commercial opportunities with major energy users. A key near-term responsibility is to secure Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with a US off-taker. We are currently focusing on developing our own projects for grid generation and off-takers in the US market. Over time, this role will contribute to broader partnership and licensing models with utilities and energy companies. Core responsibilities US Customer Pipeline Identify, engage, and deeply understand the needs of electricity and energy users in the US—data centers, industrial customers, utilities, and municipalities—and translate their requirements into actionable commercial opportunities. Off-taker Relationships & MOUs Own all US off-taker relationships and lead commercial discussions to secure MOUs. Partnerships & Market Entry Forge and formalize strategic partnerships with key US stakeholders, navigating regulatory frameworks and market structures to accelerate deployment. Internal Collaboration Work closely with engineering, legal, project development, and leadership teams to ensure customer needs are reflected in project development and delivery. You will be based at a relevant US location, with regular travel to Stockholm, Sweden, where most of the Blykalla team is located. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with Blykalla’s global management team. You bring strong customer listening and business acumen, enabling structured deal-making and lasting relationship building. Experience & Track Record GENERAL BACKGROUND Senior commercial leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, with the ability to create commercial opportunities from scratch. Engineering or business degree, with demonstrated ability to bridge technical and commercial domains. Native English speaker. COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE 12+ years of international commercial experience, preferably within energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors. Proven experience negotiating and closing complex commercial agreements and strategic partnerships. Understanding of the US regulatory and market landscapes; nuclear experience is advantageous but not required. RELATIONSHIPS & LEADERSHIP Strong network and credibility with senior decision-makers across industry, energy, and infrastructure in the US. Proven ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships. Comfortable operating independently while collaborating closely with a global team.
