POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education * Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Law, Public Policy, or a related discipline * Post-graduate qualification (MBA, LLM, MPP, or equivalent) from a reputed institution preferred (Optional) * Additional certifications in regulatory affairs, government relations, or sectoral policy are an advantage (Optional) Experience * 12-16 years of relevant experience in  in corporate affairs, government relations, policy advocacy, or sectoral advisory, with demonstrable expertise in a specific industry vertical * Prior exposure to a large conglomerate, investment group, consulting firm, or regulatory / policy institution in a senior capacity is strongly preferred   SKILL/COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS * Deep sectoral knowledge and familiarity with the regulatory, policy, and competitive landscape of the assigned vertical * Government and regulatory stakeholder engagement and relationship management * Policy monitoring, analysis, and advocacy — including representation before industry bodies and working groups * Strategic intelligence gathering, sectoral mapping, and opportunity identification * Corporate affairs communication — including position papers, briefing notes, and leadership presentations * Cross-functional coordination with investment, legal, finance, and senior leadership teams                 FUNCTIONS KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Sectoral Intelligence & Advisory 1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive, real-time understanding of the policy, regulatory, and competitive landscape within the assigned sector vertical 2. Produce structured sectoral intelligence reports, briefing notes, and strategic assessments for senior leadership and investment teams 3. Monitor legislative developments, regulatory consultations, and policy shifts with potential impact on Group interests 4. Provide informed sectoral advisory to deal teams and leadership on positioning, risk, and opportunity within the vertical 5. Benchmark Group standing and perception against key sectoral peers and counterparts   Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management 1. Build, manage, and deepen a high-value network of relationships with government ministries, regulatory bodies, and statutory authorities relevant to the sector 2. Represent the Group at industry forums, policy consultations, working groups, and sector-specific bodies 3. Serve as the primary relationship owner for strategic counterparts, associations, and institutional stakeholders within the vertical 4. Design and execute structured engagement calendars to ensure consistent and purposeful stakeholder touchpoints 5. Support senior leadership in high-stakes stakeholder interactions by providing context, positioning, and briefing material   Policy Advocacy & Positioning 1. Lead the Group's advocacy efforts within the assigned sector — including development of position papers, consultation responses, and representation before policy bodies 2. Identify regulatory risks and opportunities early and develop proactive engagement strategies to shape outcomes in alignment with Group interests 3. Coordinate with legal, finance, and business teams to ensure policy positions are grounded in operational and commercial realities 4. Contribute to the Group's broader CRG narrative and external positioning through sector-specific thought leadership and communication   Transaction & Investment Support 1. Provide sectoral inputs for investment evaluation, including regulatory risk assessment, counterpart profiling, and market positioning analysis 2. Support due diligence exercises by mapping the regulatory and policy environment applicable to target entities or geographies 3. Advise on the corporate affairs dimensions of M&A, restructuring, and new business entry within the sector 4. Coordinate pre- and post-transaction engagement with regulators and stakeholders to facilitate smooth approvals and integrations   Governance & Compliance Interface 1. Ensure all external engagements and advocacy activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, Group governance standards, and ethical guidelines 2. Maintain accurate records of all stakeholder interactions, commitments, and follow-up actions 3. Support the Group GC and Global Head – CRG in governance documentation, reporting, and board-level updates pertaining to sectoral developments 4. Flag regulatory risks with material impact on Group entities to appropriate internal stakeholders in a timely manner         Key Performance Indicators * Quality, depth, and timeliness of sectoral intelligence and advisory outputs * Strength and breadth of the stakeholder relationship network within the assigned vertical * Effectiveness of policy advocacy — measured by regulatory outcomes and Group positioning * Quality and impact of transaction support provided to investment and deal teams * Consistency and governance compliance of all external engagement activity * Contribution to the Group's reputation and perception within the sector * Development and performance of junior CRG team members under guidance
