The Vice President, Digital Product and UX will drive Shake Shack’s digital product roadmap and innovation. This individual will be responsible for bringing our Digital vision to reality. This includes managing the Digital Product roadmap, building strategic business cases, aligning cross-functional teams to define requirements and executing against key digital priorities. The role oversees all our Digital platforms: web, iOS, Android, native delivery, and kiosk channels. The role includes oversight of Digital User Experience and experience design. The right candidate is passionate about building integrated digital experiences with prior experience launching omni-channel digital products and overseeing a high-performing Digital Product and UX team. The right candidate is also comfortable developing a strategic roadmap for Digital Transformation, prioritizing key initiatives, building financial business cases, and allocating significant capital investment at a rapidly growing company. They are a digital evangelist, skilled cross-functional manager with demonstrated multi-year success with initiatives that drive revenue, guest frequency, platform conversion, and guest retention.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Degree Field(s): Marketing, Management, or Computer Science
Work Experience: 10+ years
Supervisory Experience: 4-6 years
Related Experience: Product management leader within a corporate digital team; must have experience with UX design.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s Degree
Degree Field(s): Marketing, Technology, or related field; MBA preferred
Work Experience: 15+ years
Supervisory Experience: 4-6 years

RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Digital product management leadership with a proven track record of launching digital products
Has managed teams (internal and external) in a fast-paced environment
Strategic acumen with prior oversight of >$20M CapEx budget
Strong team leader with a proven track record of growing teams and coaching direct reports
Experience in design with agencies and preferably internal user experience design teams

Responsibilities

Own the digital roadmap, including gathering and developing requirements, briefing to internal and external partners, oversight over key milestones, and integration into our online/offline channels. Oversee the design of our digital platforms to reduce friction and convey Brand value and hospitality.
Own backlog and project grooming as well as prioritization of the digital roadmap with an eye for quick wins, revenue impact, and improved customer experience. Lead the prioritization of epics/features/stories within the backlog of agile releases, and ensure that product managers are managing the flow of work.
Build strategic business cases for all digital projects incorporating internal stakeholder feedback, needs, and priorities along with key inputs from Finance.
Hire, coach, and lead a high-performing team of digital product managers with the ability to own and execute on specific platforms and projects. Scale teams and ensure the product organization is effective, healthy, and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals.
Evangelize digital projects to the company with effective written and verbal communication to cross-functional teams – leading the Digital Governance process to maximize the effective use of our CapEx dollars for thoughtful throughput that drives both revenue and guest experience.
