Job Description We are seeking a Vice President to join our diligence team, reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a critical part in evaluating and monitoring our asset-backed lending facilities. You will work closely with deal teams, external diligence providers, custodians, and counterparties, bringing a sharp eye for detail and a solutions-oriented approach to complex financial structures. This position requires 20%-30% travel to conduct onsite diligence and coordinate with external parties. Specific job responsibilities include: Performing file reviews, reconciling general ledger entries and cash activity to bank accounts. Verifying loan file information against external systems (e.g., lien searches, insurance filings, UCC/government registries). Liaising with custodians on asset verification. Reviewing all external AUPs, collateral verification reports, and financial statements. Reviewing NACHA origination files and running targeted checks on loan samples. Conducting borrower call-backs. Analyzing MSR reports and escalating material discrepancies. Coordinating with deal teams to scope and oversee external AUPs performed by third parties. Collaborate across internal teams (deal, risk, operations, compliance) to ensure controls are effective and findings are acted upon. Travel 20%-30% of the time to borrower sites as required. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications (CPA, CFA) preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience in internal audit, lender due diligence, credit risk, or structured finance review. Demonstrated familiarity with diligence in the Auto, Card, Unsecured Consumer, and Small Business Loan sectors Hands-on experience conducting loan file testing and cash receipts reconciliation Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. Ability to critically analyze complex datasets and present findings clearly to senior leadership. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); data analytics experience is a plus.
