We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Accounting to join our EMEA Controllers team in the Office of the CFO. This role is located in Manchester In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: * Lead controller for managing the Pershing EMEA subledger processes and daily Balance sheet sign off * Lead controller for oversight and managing breaks and fails processes for the Pershing EMEA legal entities * Co-ordination of control and attestation process for the subledger reconciliation sign-off process with business owners * Co-ordination of management of key annual audit processes including cash confirmations and support for the Execution services businesses. * Accounting oversight for the Execution services businesses * Oversight and follow up on tasks undertaken by supporting offsite accounting teams, being prepared to step into the detail and resolve issues to ensure delivery of overall accounting and strategic objectives as well as training and developing knowledge of offsite teams. * Support for key business projects as and when required * Disaster recovery for critical Pershing offsite support team * Liaison with key stakeholders including Treasury and Regulatory reporting * Management and influencing of offsite and offshore resources To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree is a plus. * Professional certification required[AM1] (e.g., CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA). * Extensive accounting/controllership experience in financial services or complex, regulated environments. * Experience with liaison with external auditors * Experience with oracle and blackline would be preferred * Hands-on involvement in automation initiatives, data quality improvements, and close acceleration.
