This is a critical leadership role responsible for setting the strategic direction, governance, and operational excellence of enterprise-wide project, program, and portfolio management, ensuring organizational strategy is consistently translated into clear, measurable outcomes. The Vice President owns the end-to-end lifecycle, continuously advancing delivery practices to meet the organization’s evolving needs. With a strong executive presence and the ability to influence across the enterprise, this leader drives clarity, accountability, and alignment across complex, cross functional initiatives while balancing risk, resources, and organizational capacity to enable effective execution at scale. As a strategic partner to senior leaders, the Vice President brings a forward looking, data driven perspective, using insights and performance indicators to inform decision making and ensure sustained focus on the initiatives that matter most. This role establishes and evolves enterprise standards, governance models, and performance metrics that promote transparency, consistency, and confidence in delivery. In addition, the Vice President builds and leads a high performing EPPMO organization, attracting, mentoring, and developing project, program, and portfolio leaders. This role champions a culture of execution excellence, continuous improvement, and results driven delivery, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and with clear, measurable business impact. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for leading the EPMO. Define a streamlined PMO Center of Excellence. Develop vision and overall strategy for the EPMO governance function across all departments. Serve as executive liaison interacting with all organizations within SUFS. Implements and administers end-to-end portfolio governance and portfolio management practices and processes, in alignment with SUFS strategic goals and objectives, including integration with the annual planning, budgeting processes, and SUFS Stage Gate prioritize process. Leads enterprise-wide portfolio prioritization and reprioritization reviews for all enterprise projects, including transformational projects. Fosters collaboration between and including direct and indirect reports across the organization. Accountable for organization-wide education of EPMO policies, procedures, and standards and consistent application across the entire portfolio of projects; engages regularly with all levels of leaders on strategy delivery and portfolio governance performance. Promotes best practices and guides the team on a path of continuous improvement. Ensures appropriate project, program and transformation hand-off and closure occurs, including holding the final postmortem/ lessons learned sessions, and leveraging learnings to improve cross-team project practices. Executer and auditor of the EPMO governance and processes across SUFS, to ensure effective function across SUFS. Manage relationships between senior business leaders for all orgs and EPMO and at the appropriate level. In charge of negotiating and projecting a positive image of the organization. Strong in analytical decision-making skills to resolve issues, prioritize resources, and address project challenges. Lead the efforts of a winning culture across the organization. Collaborates in the development, coaching, and mentoring of talent and leaders in the organization. Leads, audits, and supports the completion and delivery of prioritized strategic initiatives that are tied to EPMO departmental and SUFS OKRs with appropriate EPMO governance, processes, and staff. Influences upward decision-making with a demonstrated executive presence and presentation skills. Understands and embraces diversity and possess the ability to adapt behavior based on cultural norms. Manages change effectively including organizational, process, and service delivery changes. Successfully gains support for business-driven changes through effective and timely communication including rationale, scope, and schedule. Proactively helps team adapt, embrace, and align with broader changes within SUFS. Foster creativity among the organization and be a role model. Drives continuous improvement initiatives and applies industry best practices to enhance organizational processes. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Demonstrated success and a proven track record of professional/life experience in specific job functions, projects, industries or military service can substitute for professional experience and/or formal education requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field required. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within an enterprise Project or Project & Portfolio Management Office (PMO/EPPMO). 6+ years partnering with Executive Leadership, including C‑suite and senior business leaders, in highly visible, enterprise‑wide environments. Demonstrated strength in relationship management, strategic vision, enterprise alignment, and execution leadership, with the ability to facilitate high‑impact, executive‑level dialogue. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts, present innovative ideas, and respond confidently to high‑level inquiries. Proven sense of accountability and integrity, with experience managing sensitive, high‑profile responsibilities and decisions. Strong analytical and critical‑thinking capabilities, including the ability to rapidly synthesize data, identify trends, and inform executive decision‑making. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, operate independently, and drive outcomes, while maintaining alignment with enterprise priorities. Collaborative leader with a track record of building trusted relationships across executive leaders, peers, cross‑functional teams, and individual contributors. Proficient in PMO and portfolio management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Clarity, Atlassian JIRA, Asana, or other industry‑standard platforms. Guided by exceptional maturity, discretion, and sound judgment, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate complex organizational dynamics. PREFERRED: Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field required. Proven program and portfolio management expertise, with deep familiarity leading complex, cross functional initiatives. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent PMO certification.
