Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Vice President, Head of Compliance Department to lead our compliance function and ensure our operations fully adhere to Luxembourg regulatory requirements, particularly those set by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). The Head of Compliance will oversee the company’s compliance framework, drive regulatory strategy, and act as the key liaison with the CSSF. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of AML/KYC procedures, risk management, and financial regulations, ensuring the company maintains a strong compliance culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the Compliance Department, ensuring adherence to CSSF regulations and all applicable financial sector laws.
  • Act as the primary contact for the CSSF, managing regulatory inquiries, reporting obligations, and inspections.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments, providing strategic guidance to senior management and ensuring proactive adaptation.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments, ensuring continuous regulatory adherence.
  • Oversee client onboarding and ongoing monitoring, ensuring strict compliance with AML/KYC requirements.
  • Supervise investor KYC processes for fund administration and transfer agency services, ensuring full due diligence.
  • Track CSSF newsletters and regulatory updates, ensuring timely implementation of necessary compliance measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, particularly during the client onboarding process, by conducting due diligence, screening clients against sanction lists, and implementing enhanced due diligence measures when necessary.
  • Develop and oversee the company’s AML policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the latest regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct AML training for employees to reinforce compliance culture and awareness of financial crime risks.
  • Deliver training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Minimize legal risks by ensuring adherence to current and proposed legislation, recommending new procedures, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting regulations.
  • Define and implement compliance strategies, evaluating regulatory trends, setting key risk indicators, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead engagement with external auditors, regulators, and relevant stakeholders on compliance matters.
