Description:

BMO Capital Markets has an instrumental role to play to bring our Purpose into action and helping the Bank and our clients meet the sustainability challenges of the future. As a member of the Sustainable Finance team the Vice President, Impact Investing contributes to the group’s mandate to:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 50% - Transaction execution (analysis, due diligence, valuation, preparing investment memorandums)

  • 20% - Industry analysis and opportunity identification, sourcing of potential deals

  • 20% - Impact measurement and analysis
  • 10% - Portfolio management and value creation

Qualifications

  • MBA or other graduate degree preferred; or, undergraduate degree with a focus on Business, Economics, Finance/Accounting
  • 6+ year’s relevant business experience, preferably in a global financial institution or comparable industry.
  • Highly developed knowledge of venture capital and impact investing trends and practices, measurement frameworks
  • Highly developed transaction execution skills (including successfully handling all stages of the deal: analysis, due diligence, valuation, preparing investment memorandums), Impact measurement and analysis, collaboration and influencing
  • Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills with exceptional ability to analyze data, develop key insights & provide business recommendations
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to manage and deliver on critical complex projects with varying levels of urgency, sensitivity and importance
  • Experienced and confident interacting with all levels including senior management
  • Communicates effectively on all levels, adopts style based on audience, is able to write, present and lead workshops professionally even in critical situations
