How You’ll Make An Impact  KCRW is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Vice President of Individual Giving who will own the strategy, structure, and performance of individual giving at KCRW. This role will oversee the full donor pipeline—from mid-level giving through major gifts—while building a cohesive strategy that deepens donor engagement and increases philanthropic support.   The VP will manage a team responsible for individual giving, including mid-level and major gifts, and will play a critical role in shaping donor strategy, strengthening relationships with key supporters, and driving revenue growth. This is a pivotal leadership role during a period of evolution and investment in KCRW’s fundraising program. Success in this role will be measured by growth in individual giving revenue, expansion of the major gifts program, and deeper engagement across KCRW’s donor community. This role will report to the Chief Development Officer. Here’s What You’ll Do: Strategic Leadership * Develop and execute a comprehensive individual giving strategy across all donor segments * Design and implement a clear donor pipeline from mid-level → major gifts * Establish goals, metrics, and performance benchmarks for individual giving and be accountable for achieving annual and multi-year fundraising targets * Partner with the Chief Development Officer on long-term fundraising strategy and campaign planning and execution Major Gifts Leadership * Oversee and grow a major gifts program * Build and expand a multi-year giving program at the highest donor levels ($100,000+) * Manage a personal portfolio of high-level donors and prospects * Lead and participate in significant gift conversations and solicitations * Ensure strong cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship practices across the team Team Management * Lead and manage individual giving staff, including: * Major Gifts Officer * Senior Individual Giving Officer * Individual Giving Officer * Events and Operations Coordinator  * Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture * Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management Donor Engagement and Stewardship * Strengthen relationships with leadership donors * Oversee donor engagement strategies, including: * events * personalized communications * stewardship experiences, including domestic and international donor travel programs * Ensure donors feel connected to KCRW’s mission, programming, and impact Pipeline Development * Partner with Membership and Marketing teams to identify and convert engaged listeners into donors * Develop strategies to upgrade donors over time * Leverage data, insights, and segmentation strategies and outreach to optimize donor acquisition, retention, and upgrade pathways Collaboration * Partner with: * Programming and content teams to connect donors with KCRW’s work * Partner with the Board of Trustees and Development Committee of the Board on engagement and individual giving strategy * Internal staff and external/celebrity talent on donor experiences and in-person events * Institutional Giving for cross-cutting opportunities * Work closely with the CDO on board engagement and top donor strategy Here’s What You’ll Bring: * 8–12+ years of experience in fundraising, with a focus on individual giving * Demonstrated success in securing and closing major gifts * Experience managing teams and building fundraising programs * Experience leading or contributing to fundraising campaigns or major initiatives * Strong relationship-building and communication skills * Ability to think strategically while executing tactically * Passion for KCRW’s mission and public media What We Offer * Salary Range: $150,000-160,000 * Hybrid work schedule for select positions. * Sick leave award * Vacation leave accrual * Paid holidays * Health insurance (including medical, dental, vision, FSA, life and AD&D) eligibility * 403(b) with company match * Passionate office environment surrounded by an incredible community of curious and talented colleagues * KCRW is a qualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program - read more here [https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/forgiveness-cancellation/public-service] to determine your eligibility KCRW aims to be representative of Southern California, and candidates with traditionally underrepresented backgrounds and perspectives are encouraged to apply.
