SUMMARY: Reporting to the President/CEO, this position provides strategic leadership, planning, and execution of Desert Arc’s information technology and digital transformation efforts. This role ensures that the organization’s infrastructure, data, and digital systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with Desert Arc’s mission to enhance the quality of life and create opportunities for people with disabilities. The role will champion a vision for modernizing operations, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and integrating innovative technologies that support both internal teams and client services.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Passion for Desert Arc’s mission in support of people with disabilities.
· Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership, including strategic planning, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and team supervision.
· Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation efforts, including cloud migration, remote work enablement, and systems integration.
· Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or social services environments.
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required; MBA or Master’s in IT or related field strongly preferred.
· Excellent written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
· Valid California Driver License with clean DMV record and Clear Background Check
· First Aid and CPR Certification (Training may be provided by Desert Arc).
· Valid personal vehicle insurance and proof of vehicle registration.

Responsibilities

· Strategic Leadership: Serve as a strategic partner to the President/CEO and executive team in aligning technology initiatives with organizational priorities. Lead the execution of a multi-year IT modernization roadmap informed by the recent IT Needs Assessment. Drive the organization’s digital transformation agenda, including cloud adoption, data integration, and mobility initiatives.
· IT Operations and Infrastructure: Oversee the maintenance, security, and performance of all hardware, software, network, and cloud systems. Manage lifecycle planning and replacement of IT infrastructure including servers, endpoints, and mobile devices. Ensure systems support multi-site operations, remote work, and field-based service delivery.
· Cybersecurity and Compliance: Develop and maintain IT security policies, procedures, and practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCIDSS, and other regulatory requirements. - Coordinate regular security assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
· Business Intelligence and Data Strategy: Advance data governance and analytics capabilities to improve service delivery, reporting, and outcomes measurement. Implement systems that support leadership’s ability to make informed, real-time decisions.
· Leadership and Team Development: Direct and support a growing IT team, cultivating a service-oriented culture and fostering professional development. Coordinate with program and operational leaders to ensure technology meets programmatic needs.
· Vendor and Budget Oversight: Manage IT vendors and contractors to ensure high performance and cost-effectiveness. Develop and manage the IT budget; oversee procurement of technology resources and services.
· Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the President/CEO.
