The REIT provides investors an opportunity to invest in a diversified portfolio of rental apartments and student housing properties, as well as mortgage and equity investments in property developments, across Canada and the United States and participate in the profits derived from them.

INDUSTRY AND PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

Gather industry knowledge, observing the development of industry competitors and maintaining a constant awareness of the competitive environment for similar products. Review the performance of competitors, reporting on key issues and opportunities as necessary. Work closely with, the Chief Financial Officer | Chief Compliance Officer and our President | Chief Executive Officer to create products for the institutional market, assisting with the amendment of existing retail products as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A passion for excellence in client services and sales performance;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field; an MBA considered an asset
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in institutional investment sales;
  • Experience in family offices, endowments, foundations and pension funds considered an asset;
  • Experience selling offering memorandum products in the alternative space;
  • Demonstrated track record of building and growing institutional sales;
  • Well-connected in the financial industry with a strong network of institutional contacts;
  • Self-starter; highly motivated and able to take the initiative required to achieve sales goals and objectives;
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate other towards achieving established goals and targets;
  • Detail-oriented; able to resolve problems using relevant information, sound reasoning and common sense;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and team members simultaneously;
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively to both individuals and groups;
  • Excellent command of MS Office products: Word, Power Point, Excel; and
  • Passing the Exempt Market Dealer Representative course exam and the Officers’ Partners’ and Directors’ course exam within 6 months from date of hire is a conditional requirement.
