Description

Assist with the IFRS and US GAAP close for our Canadian legal entities. Review local (Canadian) financial and regulatory reporting for our Canadian legal entities. Assist in the management of regulatory examinations and internal and external audits. Participate in the review of the year-end audited financial statements for the Canadian legal entities. Manage the implementation of, and adherence to, IFRS standards and new regulatory reporting requirements. Assist in investigations and addressing queries from various functional groups. Participate in projects as required. Proactively responding to changes in the regulatory environment. Additional responsibilities as assigned from time-to-time. University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred. A professional accountant designation. At least 5 years of work experience (with a particular focus on financial and regulatory reporting) in the financial services industry is preferred. Knowledge of banking products and associated regulatory requirements is preferred. Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and gain support for objectives. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. AdvancedExcel skills.
