Position Purpose: The Vice President of Development creates, manages, negotiates and leads potential de novo and joint venture development opportunities for the purpose of growing the company’s earnings and meeting the company’s growth objectives. This position must sit at our office in Birmingham, Alabama This position requires up to 30%25 travel Responsibilities & Tasks: Responsible for creating, managing and maintaining a project pipeline that typically includes up to 20-30 projects. Understands both the de novo and joint venture development process, inclusive of the ability to understand market need analysis, deal structure, and financial modeling. Acts as the liaison between development and other home office departments to ensure project success. Responsible for crafting and pitching strategy to senior and executive leadership internally and externally. Develops market level development strategies in conjunction with Regional Presidents. Understands the health planning function of each state, including Certificate of Need. Focuses on tasks that will enable a steady and consistent business development pipeline. Fosters relationships with internal colleagues, external healthcare leaders, and consultants. Organizes, plans, and manages time effectively to complete assignments. Meets position requirements and performs essential functions. Completes mandatory training and courses required by completion date. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required Master’s in Business or Health Administration or similar degree preferred Minimum 5 years of relevant development and/or merger & acquisition experience Healthcare experience preferred A little about us: We’re confident you’ll see the difference the moment you join our team.
