Summary: Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role plays a critical leadership position to effectively develop and expand the company’s property asset portfolio, in line with strategic growth targets, through site development and M&A. The VP of Development serves as a lead for marine and waterfront development projects, from planning and permitting to design and implementation. Key Responsibilities: Oversee project planning, permitting, design coordination, and execution Lead M&A due diligence and post-acquisition development planning Manage internal teams and external partners (engineers, architects, contractors) Drive entitlement efforts and ensure regulatory compliance Support financial modeling, pro formas, and long-range capital planning Evaluate project risks and develop data driven solutions Integrate operational needs of marine/boatyard facilities into development plans Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality standards Requirements 10+ years in project or infrastructure development Strong technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Travel at least 5 days per month to project sites Experience with marine, waterfront, or boatyard environments (preferred) Strong permitting and entitlement expertise Proven ability to lead complex projects and cross functional teams Excellent analytical and communication skills Preferred: Familiarity with AutoCAD LT Experience aligning operational, technical, and financial development strategies What?Hinckley can?offer Our culture values collaboration, continuous learning, and pride in craftsmanship.
