Description

We rely on our Vice President of Finance to direct and control the organization’s governmental reimbursement, fixed assets planning, and operational finance functions. Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Revenue Cycle and Controller in the overall billing and collections, financial reporting, monitoring, and process improvement functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification, preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in healthcare financial leadership role
  • Long term healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Experience managing diverse finance and accounting associates
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
Responsibilities
  • Reports to and support BYHC’s Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the overall accounting processes and functions required for BYHC and related entities.
  • Directs and controls all corporation accounting functions including a) the monthly general ledger closing process and reporting, b) accounts payable, c) treasury management, and d) fixed assets.
  • Directs and controls all governmental reimbursement and reporting functions including a) coordinating the outsourced annual Medicaid and Medicare cost report submissions, b) maintaining the ledger of non-resident specific balances due to or from Medicaid and Medicare, and c) serving as the liaison to both state and federal fiscal intermediaries.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of all internal and external consolidated financial reports including those distributed to management and external stakeholders. Coordinate preparation of debt covenants, registration statements, as required. Ensure effective coordination of all external audits and work with auditors to ensure understanding of key financial issues, negotiate fees, provide representations, etc.
  • Works closely with the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Services in assuring the timely direct and third-party billing and collection of accounts receivable from services rendered to facility residents.
  • Support and communicate to facilities in a servant leadership manner.
  • Prepare as necessary supplemental reports and information for ownership and management. Participate in new investments and projects analysis as needed.
  • Perform benchmarking of finance functions to determine areas requiring attention from a process improvement or other cost savings perspective. Lead and monitor process improvement efforts.
