Description

As Vice President (VP) of Finance, you are responsible for the enterprise’s basic and strategic finance functions, managing significant data points, and presenting financial analysis and recommendations to leadership. The Vice President (VP) of Finance will work closely with leadership on a number of data-driven initiatives to allow Tree House Brewing Company’s multiple lines of business to remain strong and continue to scale. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Charlton, MA, but workdays may include workdays in our other facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Own the Company’s financial statement preparation, close process, and any/all sub ledger reporting.
  • Deliver data-driven financial analytics and insights on the company’s most important business issues to the CEO based on rigorous analysis.
  • As needed, collaborate with the CEO on cash planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Partner with the CGOon high-level strategic and tactical execution for the business, focusing on data trends and projections.
  • Combine deep analytical and business knowledge to develop an enterprise-level perspective on business performance and trends.
  • Build automated routines and reporting at multiple levels, leveraging tools from point-of-sale data to warehouse inventory controls.
  • Partner with the Company’s production, logistics, and point of sale teams to ensure proper taxes, bottle deposits, and reporting is gathered from all selling activities to file any/all period transactional taxes due.
  • Work with our project delivery manager and regulatory specialist to administer new federal/state/local filing and project expense tracking requirements.
  • Manage the relationship with the Company’s banking, legal, and tax partners for any planning, reporting, and deliverables as requested/required to meet all applicable deadlines and requirements.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Director on human capital management, compensation methodologies, payroll/HRIS system functionality, and efficiencies.
  • Support the accounting and treatment of any audit/review activities of the Company’s financial statements and related footnotes.
  • Lead the development of:
  • Regularly prioritized analysis for stakeholders, vendors, and partnerships.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting using a data-driven, predictive approach to labor and expense margins for planning.
  • Monthly expense and margin analysis by line of business.
  • Manage the Company’s finance department of two (2), responsible for the day-to-day accounts payable, vendor management, payroll, and regulatory requirements due from the team.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of the Senior Technology Coordinator.
  • Work with and mentor all direct reports to uphold company policies and standards and take disciplinary action as needed.
  • Work with HR and other managers to facilitate employee development, reviews, and other employee relations matters.
  • Provide mentorship to intercompany leaders. Instill and continuously evangelize our mission, vision, strategy, and values to the team.
  • Display company ideals through actions and understand your visibility and influence as a leader.
  • Carry a deep understanding of business risks, business continuity, and public-facing pressure to perform at the highest level.
  • Learn and understand the Company Blueprint and work to carry it out with other company leaders.
  • Contribute to the company’s overall strategic vision, identifying and driving key initiatives that align with growth and financial health.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and manage financial risks.
  • Lead change management initiatives in financial processes and systems.
  • Maintain strong communication skills for effectively presenting financial insights to various stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, encouraging continuous improvement within the finance team.
