JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President of Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the organization. This executive position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate finance, fiscal management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will lead financial planning and analysis, oversee accounting operations, and ensure adherence to financial regulations while driving business development initiatives. The Vice President of Finance will collaborate closely with senior leadership to enhance financial performance and support strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in a senior finance role with a strong background in corporate finance, fiscal management, and strategic planning.
• In-depth knowledge of financial concepts including risk analysis, investment management, revenue management, and compliance management.
• Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles as well as governmental accounting standards is preferred.
• Proficiency in financial software systems for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
• Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams successfully.
• Exceptional communication skills for presenting financial information to diverse audiences.
• Experience in public accounting is advantageous but not required. The Vice President of Finance must demonstrate strong financial acumen, technical accounting expertise including ASC 606 compliance, as well as proficiency in bookkeeping practices. This role is critical for ensuring the organization’s long-term financial health while supporting its mission-driven objectives.

• Prepare and interpret financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage treasury functions and cash flow analysis to optimize liquidity.
• Drive cost management initiatives through effective cost accounting practices.
• Oversee investment management strategies to maximize returns on assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development efforts.
• Ensure accurate financial statement preparation and timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
