Will Oversee Vesta’s technology initiatives, as well as IT changes and update projects. This role is critical to ensure Vesta’s Information technology strategy supports our overall business goals. Proficiency in Yardi and other Property Management Systems are essential to the daily operations of Vesta. This expertise supports both property management functions and various roles within the corporate office, ensuring seamless operations with minimal disruption or downtime. Responsible for assessing the IT and MIS systems and making decisions on investment and implementation of current and future technology including AI. The Vice President of Information will serve as a member on the Executive Leadership team. Essential Functions: Design and oversee the development of AI-driven systems that enhance business processes, customer experiences, and decision-making. Develop and implement IT/MIS strategies that support Vesta’s objectives, enhance operational efficiency and foster innovation. Lead IT operations infrastructure and applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into AI solutions. Define product roadmaps for AI initiatives. Monitor AI product performance and user adoption metrics. Develop policies, standards and objectives and participate in training for IT/MIS initiatives. Lead and mentor a team of IT and MIS professionals, overseeing recruitment, training and professional development by providing hands on leadership, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. Oversee IT and MIS project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with business needs. Manage a portfolio of technology projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to cost, scope, and schedule constraints. Prioritize projects based on business needs and strategic alignment. Schedule or coordinate the deployment of upgrades or enhancements to minimize downtime and loss of productivity. Administer the phone systems and related communication technologies. Establish and lead risk management and cyber security training and initiatives ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practices. Maintain current with emerging trends, assessing their potential impact on Vesta’s operations. Identify and recommend new technologies, conducting feasibility studies and systems analysis to enhance Vesta’s efficiency. Prepare and manage IT/MIS budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and expenditures for current systems and future initiatives. Identify, evaluate, select, and manage external IT vendors. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements and ensure vendor performance meets expectations. Work closely with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide strategic direction for IT/MIS initiatives and projects. Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners to effectively negotiate contracts ensuring cost effective agreements. Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure system reliability, user experience, and overall effectiveness. By analyzing data, identify areas for optimization and drive strategic enhancements. Report technology developments and progress to the executive leadership team, providing regular updates on IT advancements to ensure transparency and informed decision-making. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software and Zoom. Knowledge of Yardi or other Property Management Systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent analytical and management skills. Advanced knowledge in the latest technology for information systems and management. Extensive understanding of technology advancements, including artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure and digital transformation projects. Requirements Required Education and Experience: Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in computer science, Information technology, or related field. Experience may be substituted for a master’s degree with 7+ years in strategic IT roles, preferably in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments. Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing large-scale technology projects. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle. Strong knowledge of cloud AI services (AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI). Proven experience in deploying AI models to production environments. Additional Eligibility Requirements: Successful completion of a background check and drug screening required.
