The VPIT ensures that technology supports the institution’s academic mission, administrative operations, student success initiatives, cybersecurity posture, and long-term strategic goals. This role serves as a senior leader, partnering with academic leadership, enrollment, finance, student affairs, institutional research, and compliance functions to deliver secure, scalable, available and innovative technology solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Provides strategic leadership and governance by developing and executing a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the College’s mission, strategic plan, and accreditation requirements, and by establishing policies and standards for IT operations, cybersecurity, data governance, and digital accessibility. Ensures that technology solutions enhance student engagement, advising, retention, and overall educational outcomes. Provides executive oversight of the College’s enterprise systems and technology infrastructure to ensure alignment to support academic and operations functions. Serves as the executive owner of the College’s information security and cybersecurity program, providing leadership for risk management, data protection, and regulatory compliance. Leads and develops a high-performing IT organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for talent development, succession planning, workforce planning, and professional growth within the IT organization. Leads financial stewardship for the institution’s technology portfolio, including development and management of IT operating and capital budgets. This role oversees vendor selection, contract negotiation, and vendor performance management, ensuring cost-effective procurement and strong partnerships. The Vice President identifies opportunities for operational efficiencies, shared services, and lifecycle management of technology investments to maximize institutional value. *Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: 4 years of IT management experience Bachelor's degree OR 6 years' experience in IT management Strong knowledge of ERP/SIS systems (e.g. Ellucian, Campus Logic, etc.) Expertise in cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, and data governance Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications: 6 years of IT management experience Master's degree OR 10 years' experience in IT management
