Summary / Primary Role:
The position of Vice President, Operations will have primary responsibility responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of all operational functions, with a focus on enhancing productivity, minimizing costs, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. This role will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of our business.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS:
· MUST HAVE experience with The Jones Act (federal law that regulates maritime commerce in the United States).
· Experience in Alaska Freight Logistics is HUGE plus with The Jones Act
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
· Proven experience in senior leadership roles within the transportation and logistics industry.
· Strong understanding of transportation and logistics operations, including freight management, warehousing, and distribution.
· Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence, cost savings, and process improvements.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.
· Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
· Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
· Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 25% travel.
