REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated ability to develop veterinary pricing strategies and follow through to operational execution
  • Deep strategic pricing expertise within service businesses
  • Veterinary hospital operational expertise a plus
  • Strong analytical, statistical, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead pricing analysis and implementation teams and critically pressure their findings
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally and influence diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities
  • Effective communication and change management skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • An innate sense of urgency and results orientation
  • Working knowledge of veterinary practice management software, service and product pricing best practices, and the relationship between pricing systems and operational effectiveness/efficiency

Responsibilities
  • Manage all facets (strategy, code standardization and maintenance, implementation processes, systems, reporting) surrounding the pricing of services and products across our hospitals
  • Lead the pricing process from start to finish
  • Maximize price and margin opportunities within and across categories
  • Develop and manage KPIs to measure effectiveness and outcomes of pricing actions
  • Partner with executive-level operations, sourcing/procurement, medical leadership, IT, and finance to deliver financial outcomes and operational objectives
  • Forecast profitability based on pricing and marketing strategies, industry trends, and competition
  • Develop pricing expertise with our current systems and develop tools to enhance our execution of our pricing strategies by developing surrounding processes, owners, timelines, and reporting
  • Manage pricing vis-à-vis competitors and regional competitive situations by gathering and integrating market and competitive insights into pricing and other activities
  • Support pricing system enhancements with the IT department
  • Develop, implement and follow up with hospitals on pricing rules through our pricing systems
  • Develop and manage a price audit process to ensure compliance, flow through and that our competitive data is actionable
