You'll be a member of the leadership team and work closely with the agency’s award-winning founder and CEO. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Vice President of Public Relations is the senior authority over the agency’s public relations practice, responsible for PR excellence, consistency, confidence and growth across all client work. This role ensures that MediaSource’s PR output is strategically sound, high-quality, trusted by clients and executed consistently by a strong PR team and helps the agency grow its PR practice. Senior PR Counsel & Client Advisor Serve as senior PR counselor on the agency’s most complex and high-visibility client accounts, providing experienced judgment and leadership on PR approach and execution Provide expert guidance on PR and media relations strategy, issues management, reputation and executive visibility/thought leadership to strengthen PR outcomes and client confidence Act as a steady, credible presence for clients during moments of complexity or pressure Reinforce client confidence in agency’s PR leadership and judgment, supporting retention, renewal readiness and long-term account growth PR Quality Control & Prioritization Clearly define and own PR quality standards across the agency Set clear editorial, pitching and storytelling expectations Prioritize integrated PR efforts across accounts when capacity or complexity requires tradeoffs Identify and address quality gaps early, before they become issues PR Team Leadership & Coaching Lead, develop and coach PR Managers and senior staff in areas such as integrated PR strategy, client counsel, media relations framework and decision-making under pressure. Hold PR leadership accountable for execution quality and clarity Build depth and succession within the PR team Model calm, sound judgment and emotional intelligence in high-pressure situations, coaching PR managers to navigate complexity with confidence PR Practice Leadership & Growth Own the evolution of the agency’s PR practice, frameworks and points of view Drive the growth of the PR practice through leadership of strategic sales initiatives Partner with other teams within the agency to ensure PR work is well-integrated and aligned across the client experience Represent PR leadership internally as the single source of truth for PR decisions Stay ahead of industry trends and elevate the agency’s PR capabilities in areas such as influencers, digital creators and the ethical use of AI in PP Requirements 12–15+ years of public relations experience, ideally within an agency, with at least 8 years in a management role Demonstrated success counseling senior executives and complex organizations Deep expertise in integrated public relations, media relations, executive visibility and reputation management Proven ability to lead and coach senior PR professionals Strong editorial judgment and strategic instincts Confident presence in high-stakes situations Healthcare communications experience strongly preferred Direct Reports: Senior level PR employees Reports to: SVP of Operations Location: Columbus, Ohio (hybrid) Type: Full time Send resume to: Jocelyn Hecht: jhecht@singhhecht.com
